In 2019, I was diagnosed with a progressive, genetically-inherited condition that severely compromised my vascular and metabolic health. The prognosis was grim as there were no treatments or cures, and I was expected to deteriorate with a significantly shortened lifespan. But I wasn’t ready to accept that and over the next three years, I immersed myself in scholarly medical literature, reading hundreds of peer-reviewed papers authored by Ph.D. researchers at top universities and medical institutions across the world.
Today, six years later, a recent MRI shows no further damage! I’ve stabilized the progression of my disease using a science-backed protocol I assembled from published research. The results speak for themselves, but here’s the troubling part: why wasn’t any of this known to my doctors? Why are 99.9% of patients with the same condition still declining, when viable preventative strategies are sitting in the literature waiting to be applied?
The answer lies in how modern medicine is structured. Physicians rely on a clinical “playbook”, a set of standardized, peer-approved practices that have been officially sanctioned by medical boards and insurance systems. These are treatments that have been through randomized controlled trials, FDA pipelines, and litigation-safe practice guidelines. Anything outside that framework, no matter how promising or well-supported in the academic literature, is considered speculation. Physicians can’t legally recommend unapproved protocols without risking their license and their livelihood.
Then there’s the pharmaceutical industry. It produces life-saving drugs, and its innovations have dramatically extended human lifespan and quality of life. But the system has blind spots, and one of the biggest is its relationship to natural substances. Because natural compounds cannot be patented, they cannot generate the profit margins that justify the enormous cost of clinical trials. No company is willing to invest millions of dollars to study polyphenols when the result would be an unprotected, public-domain solution.
This doesn’t mean there’s a conspiracy, it means the system is built on economic incentives, not necessarily on maximizing human health. As a result, some of the most powerful interventions for slowing disease and boosting cellular resilience such as the ketogenic diet with bioactive nutrients are often ignored or under used in mainstream care.
And that’s why I’m launching Medical Insights Now, to bridge the gap between academic science and personal empowerment, and to make life-changing knowledge accessible to those who need it most.
Our mission is to empower individuals with the knowledge to take advantage of beneficial cellular pathways and to reignite their mitochondrial energy, the biological spark that fuels every cell in the body. We will accomplish this through science-backed lifestyle strategies that are easy to adopt in partnership with your physician and profoundly effective. Mitochondrial dysfunction isn’t just about fatigue; it’s a silent driver behind many of today’s most devastating chronic illnesses, including, heart disease, cancer, neurological, autoimmune disorders, diabetes, and even digestive. These connections are not speculative, they are backed by decades of rigorous biomedical research. By addressing the health of our mitochondria, we don’t just improve energy; we unlock a foundational path to healing, resilience, and renewed vitality at the cellular level.
We’re here to educate, inspire, and ignite meaningful change, helping individuals of all ages shift from survival to thriving. We offer memberships that grant access to deeply researched, easy-to-understand articles that translate cutting-edge science into practical, actionable guidance so that you can enable these life saving interventions in partnership with your doctor.
